Festivus!!! December 12...new info!!!

Hey all, this year's Festivus (or "Happy Fun Time Social Event for Central Florida Jeep Owners if you prefer) will be--as always--on December 12.

Hi all. Dave (soilantgreen) here. I'm going to edit our friend's post since the info has now changed. We're going to keep this event at Porkie's in Apopka. This will make five years in a row at the little joint on Main Street. Steve and his crew have always treated us well and even though we generally fill up his inside dining area pretty easily, we'll move outside for social time before it gets too cramped inside.

The attempt at having it somewhere else backfired horribly. In trying to move this event to a larger place that was more accessible to the I-4 corridor, we got treated like the poor relations come to call. Well, we'll dance with the one that brung us and Steve (the owner of Porkie's) has always been very accommodating and happy to have us for our little event as long as it doesn't fall on the night of his Bike Night.

This whole experience has reinforced the idea in my mind that there is not good bbq to be had in Sanford. Apopka is where it's at in December for OrlandoJeepChat.

Eatin' time starts a 7 PM. BSing time starts as soon as you're done chewing. Airing of Grievances to follow just before Feats of Strength. Hang out until you get booted, the food runs out, or ya got nothing left to say.




So if you'd like to have a family oriented night out with food, friends, and jeeps, keep December 12 open.
